Locomotives

History of Locomotives network (2003 – 2006) 

The Locomotives network is a legacy of the Locomotives program, which I-CE has been running from 2003 – 2006. During this program, 9 partner organisations in developing countries worked on bicycle advocacy programs in their own country. After the project ended they decided to continue their relationship by setting up their own organisational framework.

Current situation (2007 – 2010) 

Between 2007 and 2010 the Locomotives network is in a transition phase. During the Locomotives program (2003 - 2006) the exchange between the civil society organisations was coordinated by I-CE. After this program ended, the aim of the 9 member CSOs was to make the Locomotives network a self-relying network.
